Alpha Gamma Delta
With the motto, “Live with Purpose,” the ladies of the Gamma Alpha chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta continuously strive to cultivate sisterhood through service, scholarship, and involvement. At the international level, Alpha Gam’s philanthropy is the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, which fights hunger. Alpha Gam hosts two philanthropy events each year to benefit the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, “Mr. Milledge” in the fall and “Porch Palooza” in the spring. Mr. Milledge is a male beauty pageant that features fraternity members on campus, who compete in categories
such as best pickup line, game day outfit, and talent. Porch Palooza includes a meal on the Alpha Gam lawn, with vendors and a local band.
Alpha Gams are leaders at UGA who have a heart for service and a passion for community involvement. With members who are active in the Student Government Association, Arch Society, University Judiciary, and CURO, Alpha Gam prides itself in being one of the most involved sororities on campus. Members of Alpha Gam may also be found serving in leadership roles in UGA Miracle, Special Olympics, UGA HEROs, Dawg Camp, and countless other organizations. With a commitment to upholding high academic standards, many Alpha Gams are also part of the UGA Honors Program and have been recognized in honor societies such as Order of Omega.
Ladies from all over the country have found their home in the Gamma Alpha chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta. From Los Angeles to Atlanta, girls have come to 530 S.
